We've had a lot of exposure to classic scrimshaw: adventurous scenes etched and inked into the bones of whales and the tusks of elephants. But when we stumbled upon some old scrap ivory, too small to be used for anything else, and begging to be recycled into something as precious as itself, we decided to try our hand at the old art. And uninterested in drawing out hunting scenes, we used the technique to create a more painterly effect and added in some colored ink. The result? A one of a kind splash of color to add to your lapel and spice things up...
